Managing uniforms and garments manually in a stockroom setting is nearly an impossible task. Most stockrooms hold thousands of garments multiplying the problem. How ClearView Garment Tracking Works

ClearView is a comprehensive garment inventory and tracking system that allows businesses to efficiently manage their uniform programs by monitoring garment usage, wear, grading, and availability.

1. Receiving and Logging Garments

  • When new or returned garments arrive, they are logged into the system and assigned unique serial numbers and barcodes.
  • Each garment is assigned a grade based on its condition, ensuring that only high-quality uniforms remain in circulation.
  • Items are sorted into categories such as ready-to-use, in need of repair, or to be retired.
  • Each garment’s patch locations and dimensions are recorded in ClearView so that the system can automatically match new dimensional patches for a new customer order.

2. Real-Time Inventory Management

  • The system tracks the location, condition, and usage history of every garment in inventory.
  • Mobile devices and touch-screen grading stations allow staff to process garments quickly.
  • Garments that reach a defined wear threshold are flagged for repair or replacement.
  • Cycle counts are built into the system to maintain inventory accuracy and are monitored by management in real time.

3. Automated Grading & Quality Control

  • Garments go through a grading process to evaluate wear and usability.
  • Automated tracking ensures accurate sorting, preventing old or damaged garments from being recirculated.
  • Grading stations print customized tags, including size, color, and any necessary repairs or replacements.
  • After existing patches are removed from a garment previously in circulation, the
former locations of the patches are recorded in ClearView and alternative patches
are automatically attributed to the garment to cover the old “glue stains.
  • Every garment has a complete history, including who wore it, how many washes it has undergone, and its last recorded condition.

4. Automated Picking, Sharing & Garment Substitution/Patch Replacement

  • ClearView will break down the customer order form and and match available garments to identical garment or will make acceptable substitutions (with the best garment available).
  • ClearView will match available graded garments with pre-existing patches removed to new orders where similar patches can be applied to cover the “glue stains”.
  • ClearView will generate pick lists for the local stockroom and then for other nearby stockroom locations and download them to a wearable mobile computer with a ring scanner for ergonomic data capture.
  • ClearView managers will have enterprise visibility and be able to search all ClearView locations for available garments to fill large orders.
  • Clearview pulling hardware has nearly zero downtime due to its system architecture so that wireless outages do not represent a work stoppage.

5. Custom Alerts & Reporting

  • ClearView Warning System (CWS) provides real-time notifications for inventory shortages, order inconsistencies, and overdue returns.
  • Managers receive alerts when grading levels exceed acceptable thresholds or when specific garments need urgent attention.
  • Historical data logs help track garment performance, loss rates, and replacement needs.
  • Facilities can set up automatic alerts for restocking, excess scrap, excess inventory, rewash or any customer parameter specified by management.
  • Detailed audit reports help businesses manage uniform budgets and reduce unnecessary purchases.
